I just read a fairly disturbing article Did Pedophilia Hysteria Cause Child's Death?
I can understand when females say they are not treated equally, my own mother is a victim of the discrimination she faces for being a female.
But I dare any female to say males have it better then females after reading this article.
I have more thoughts on this issue, but will have to post them later.

The effort to taint "men" as being pedophiles did contribute to that girls death.
On a certain cable news network child predator stings are continuously aired and rerun essentially to taint men as sexual abusers of children. Is this because the people behind these programs care so deeply about children? Well, the sex more likely to commit physically abuse of any kind children is the female sex. If we cared so much about children, this fact would be featured on news programs much more often. It isn't because the reason is to taint men as pedophiles and children haters. Of course, they would like us to think they are doing it for the children.
On another forum which featured polls, a news articles was featured which was similar to this. An experiment was set up where a girl who appeared lost was put on a street, and cameras recorded how strangers dealt with the situation. Most of the strangers who approached the girl and asked if she needed help were women and few or none were men.
Now, the females who responded in the discussion said that it was because men don't like children and are nor interested in the welfare of the little girl. One of the men who responded said he wouldn't approach the child for fear of being seen as a pervert. This is exactly why I wouldn't approach a child who I do not know. The women who said men don't care about children would probably say that a man show approached a child was a "predator." We men are damned if we do and damned if we don't.

It is sick how we seem to be going back to the dark ages where someone would scream "She's a which!" and some poor lady would be burnt at the steaks, but now it's "He raped me!" and we're(guys) being burnt at the steaks instead.
It's also sick that there are people who actually do hurt children, but it's not me who is doing it yet guys like me are being treated like as if we were.
I never did think that if I were to help some kid in need that this would be the thanks I would get until reading this story, and I have helped kids before. I once pulled a kid out that fell through some ice. One time I saw this kid near a idling lawnmower and I just had this feeling that she was going to put her finger in the moving flywheel, so I stayed to watch as the parents had their backs turned, and sure enough, she was about to touch it when I yelled at her not to touch it, but this was back in the 80's. I don't think I'd do it now. Let no good deed go unpunished!
