He went to Jared PDF Print E-mail

Yes folks, another day in the year to show our appreciation of females is coming up, hard to miss with all the commercials on TV that basically harass males to buy something for their female counterparts.

When guy stuff comes around it's always tools and other such macho things, when will these bling bling people get it through their head that guys might want something from them too?

I'm actually not a big jewelry person, but I think it's annoying that females get all the attention over such things while nothing is done for males. And if you do find something, it can't be delicate, instead it has to be something manly and macho. Something a tank would wear, how bloody annoying.

Speaking of jewelry, I had a customer come in the other day and saw that mom, dad, and their son all had matching earrings, was rather neat to see.

Think Males will ever hear “She went to Jared!”?

Eh, the girls I end up dating, it end up that the hole problem is she went to Jared and spent the night!

I agree that the adds are lame.

Simple yet effective adds that play off people's greed and insecurities. However, the fact is, most men aren't very interested in jewelry. Now what I would like to see is a commercial that went something like this: Man walks outside to find a Harley with a bow on it. The other men in the neighborhood sigh "She went to Adamac!" Adamac is the local dealer.

I totally agree with you. If I find myself in a jewelery buying situation, I know to steer clear (VERY clear) of Jared. Their commercials are so blatently materialistic, I just about toss my cookies. Their radio commercials are even more annoying, the last repeat of the "it could only be Jaaaaared!" jingle is so high pitched, it could take paint off walls. In fact, Jared isn't the only jeweler with offensive commercials. Just about all are like that to some degree, so if I get engaged and it's time to buy my girlfriend a ring, I'll probably go to a pawn shop. F*ck the jewelers!
