Get a paddle and go upstream!

Well, maybe more then a paddle in some cases as going against the flow can take a bit of effort at times, those darn waterfalls however are much more problematic!

Question: Why are most of the things on this site related to clothing?

Answer: Well, clothing is the main area of inequality that most males that I know have faced.

There are a number of other sites that already cover the area of males and the clothing inequality. This website is not just for clothing, but the various other inequalities that males face.

One such example is a friend of mines son who was working on being a cosmetologist, supposedly he was pretty good at it. Unfortunately however his son faced a lot of ridicule for choosing that field of study and has since quit and moved on to something else.

There are various examples like this in which males are ridiculed, harassed and/or ostracized for doing nontraditional jobs, hobbies, sports, pastimes, etc, etc.

While this website may be more clothing related, I hope that it will expand out and cover all areas where males face inequality.

This has hit the nail on the head - there are too many reservations for what men can and can't do in society. Often this is so women can maintain their social position. In society women have challenged men for the professional sphere but are unwilling to let men enter the social sphere, where she has always been queen. Men need to take a stand, NOW - however I feel our initial main opponents will be MEN not WOMEN.

It's that same old thing in saying that females are improving themselves when they try to emulate males, but males are demeaning themsleves when they do traditional female tasks.

Most men don't go straight from out of mom and dads house to having a wife that takes care of the household (traditional views) So why is that when a man and women get married that all of a sudden things become womens work?

I mean, when the male was a batchler, did he not have to cook, clean, , shop, wash dishes/clothes, and other tasks? Getting married should not have such an impact in doing such tasks, does it just happen because that would be "traditional?"

And I agree completely with you that it is other males that will be the main opponents for males to be equal. Most females are more broadminded and open to the things in life that brings diversity. While males on the other hand tend to stick with thats how it's always been done and shouldn't be changed.

Nontraditional males face discrimination and an unequal playing field for stepping outside the norm. Many males just tow the line or revert back to stereotypical behaviours instead of choosing the path they prefer when they face resistance.

Maybe there should be such a thing as "Mens Rights" to make males aware that they do have the right to be nontraditional and cannot be discriminated against based on that.

I totally agree with this group and the comments that are made. It is SOOOOOOO unfair how today men have less rights than women, and that our main opponents are other males and some females who just cannot accept the new men's movement for equal rights in how we want to dress, etc. without being ostracized as being a homosexual (which is such a stereotype and so biased)! Women have been complaining for a long time how unfair it was for them years ago and how the women's liberation movement got them what they wanted (more or less) and it's a great thing for them - don't get me wrong, but a lot of women are still complaining today even though women have more liberty to do what they want today more so than men (e.g. women can be tomboys and not get criticized for it).
