Total Clothing Rights was founded in May 2002 by a small group of male
cross-dressers who became disenchanted with the notion that one had to
"pass" as female in order to wear feminine clothing
To us, it seems preposterous that a person should be forced, or even
encouraged, to permanently or temporarily change their gender if the
only motivation is the desire to make a fashion choice traditionally
associated with another gender. Such coercion, whether it comes from
the medical establishment, society in part or as a whole, or even a
support group, constitutes a fundamental breach of our Human Rights to
dignity and freedom of self-expression.
